Stacy Vaz

Ed-tech Tools

An experienced professional in Edtech and a former entrepreneur in the Travel industry, Stacy has worn many hats across her career with experience both inside and outside the classroom. She has been on the (now virtual) road working with international schools for more than 3 years across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. Stacy is passionate about learning and helping students learn how to learn. She works as a consultant with schools who wish to integrate technology and pedagogy for an improved teaching and learning experience in the classroom.

Currently, she works with Kognity, a Swedish company that aims to radically improve learning for over 1.5 billion students across the globe. With an award-winning learning platform for the IBDP and IGCSE, Kognity partners with schools to provide resources that help students learn independently and support teachers with saving time and differentiating instruction effectively. She will be delivering a session on EdTech tools at CSTEC.

In this session, Stacy will be sharing some tips and tricks for teaching and learning in a hybrid environment, and discuss flipped learning in practice based on feedback from students and teachers in over 1000 schools working with Kognity globally. This will be an interactive session at the end of which teachers and administrators will leave the session with some actionable tools to maximise student progress in a flipped approach to teaching and learning.
